:bulletgreen: Hello, everyone. I decided to make a rather important journal, for plenty of reasons. I've noticed that my number of daily pageviews have increased recently. In estimation, it's close to being 95,000 views as a total. This surprises me, because during this year, I would reach to the 100Ks. While I don't have a big concern for how many views I get, I do feel happy that various people would visit my page, and I thank you all. :) I am thankful get constant support upon my art, whether they admire it, dislike it, or give helpful advice if I can use improvement. I have made friends with plenty who I sincerely care about, most of them older than me, and those who have more experience in drawing than I do.

:bulletgreen: This brings me to the next topic, Criticism. I will admit, like most of you out there, I can be emotional with criticism at times, and what I mean is, for instance you draw something that seems really good to you, but you get a comment that points out the flaws in your drawing. You're not going to like that, and I understand. However, don't take it personally as if they're being mean, but rather take it as advice, especially if the comment is from an artist who has higher experience in art. Now, there ARE trolls out there, but that's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about how criticism is not a bad thing at all. For example, I have anatomy issues, and I get helpful advice from those who have taken it. Overall, everyone has different appeals. :) Yes, it's good to make what you like and if you're doing it for yourself, but also improving on your work is an even greater value so you can impact more on your own unique style, grabbing more appeal.

:bulletgreen: The last thing I want to discuss is Popularity. On deviantART, many people want to be famous, want to be noticed, and can feel envious of those who have more popularity than themselves. Honestly, it's best to not have popularity as the main objective for being on DA. Fanart (especially Sexy Fanart) is rather the biggest and easiest way to gain views upon your work, because it is very common.  However, it's not a bad thing, especially since people admire seeing a different take on the shows they like. Yes, I do a lot of fanart (MLP still gets the most popularity from my works), but recently, I've been deciding to branch out from the usual and to try different cartoon shows and doing more original characters of my own, so I can have more diversity of what I draw. And while it'll have less appeal since plenty of people focus mainly on the sexy fanart, it won't matter to me because I am trying new things.

And that's all I can say for tonight. I'd love to hear comments and your views on the subjects, but as long as this is read, I am fine with it. :)
