PART ONE OF THE RETROSPECTIVE REVIEW

It's been over a year since this certain show aired... and maybe I could consider myself a big fan of "Teen Titans Go!" But... why? Despite the show having noticeable flaws, and I do enjoy the content of the 2003 series, "Teen Titans" more, I have done a lot from this show, such as fanart, videos, and even animation. Maybe this series is a guilty pleasure. Knowing so much about it, I thought it would be interesting to go through the pros and cons of this series, and share my thoughts about the show itself. Before I go to the content of the show, I'll talk about the animation first.

ANIMATION- There is not much to discuss involving the animation. It's a standard flash animated cartoon, but character movements can look fluid or detailed in action scenes. However, the art style makes it very unique. I do like the character designs. While having simpler bodies, they still resemble the characters. The backgrounds are nice to look at, and the colors are very vivid. Of course, this is vastly different when comparing it to the 2003 series being in traditional animation and with darker and more natural colors, but I got used to the new style pretty quickly.

CONTENT- Before I begin, I will not compare the content of this show to "Teen Titans", because there is no continuity to the 2003 series. I will have to admit that the premise does sounds fairly interesting at first. Seeing what the Teen Titans would do outside fighting crime can allow us to get some laughs. However, seeing most of the season overall... the best way I can describe Teen Titans Go's comedy, is... "moderate". Of course, everyone has different tastes of comedy, but I'm describing my opinions on the subject. Now, why do I say this? I will need to admit that there are funny episodes, but there are also several storylines throughout the season that come out being dry. Even if every episode will attempt to give me a laugh more than once, there are times when jokes can either be dull that can make me bored, or sadistic that can make characters become unlikable. As for the action, the scenes are decent. They last about 2-3 minutes in an episode, and they are mildly entertaining to watch. The H.I.V.E. Five are the main villains of the show, but occasionally there will be others. And, that's pretty much it to describe the action, since it's not originally the focus in the first place.

Now that we got through the main of the series, the question involving this subject... is if this show is worth watching. My answer to this question... is to just try it once. Unlike the 2003 series, there are no story arcs in this show, so you're not going to miss much and there is no specific episode to watch. There are fans who enjoy "Teen Titans" more, and there are fans who enjoy "Teen Titans Go!" more. I like both series, but this will depend on you, which is what matters. And let's face facts, there are better cartoons than this show, and there are even worse cartoons than this.

Very soon, I will go through the main five characters (starting next week), and also list my choices for the 5 best and 5 worst episodes of Season 1 (starting the next 2 weeks when the season completes) in my opinion. This one was fun to make.

Can I talk bout the "Dream" episode for a little bit?
