So, I've been watching Nickelodeon recently to see how it stands up today. To be honest, I haven't been watching this channel much at all, and there are plenty of reasons for this. The channel has problems and needs improvement. Before I talk about the channel as a whole, I'll talk about some of the shows that are airing now.
Spongebob Squarepants: Look, I understand why the show was popular in the first place. It was a simple nicktoon that provided surprisingly clever humor that many liked. However, despite the stale quality it has now, 15 years of exposure is more than enough. I feel that after the second film, the show needs to permanently end.
The Fairly Odd Parents: This show was never a favorite of mine, but I used to enjoy the early years of its run. As of now, it's another show I feel that needs to end. I don't hate the show, but I don't care much about it anymore. I still wonder why add the fairy dog, Sparky in the series.
The Legend of Korra: I like this series. Yes, I may have some issues with some episodes, but as a whole I do enjoy the series and it serves as a good sequel to the Avatar series.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: I also like this series. I'll admit my interest in this show has dropped recently, but the concept is interesting and unique, and it's honestly a decent reboot series.
Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners: Both of these shows express one opinion of mine. While I don't like these show much, mainly due on the amount of toilet humor, there is worse out there. And to their credit, at least it's different.
And the reason I said this, is because Nickelodeon has a lack of variety. When you take a look, many of the shows airing now are mainly "spinoffs". The Dreamworks-based series, Sam and Cat, The Legend of Korra, TMNT, and Rabbids Invasion. What Nickelodeon really needs is something fresh, and experiment a bit more with different types of genres. Yes, I said Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners were different, but the humor is still generally the same. This is why it irks me that Nickelodeon could have had those chances with Adventure Time and The Modifyers, because those would have been good examples as something new for Nickelodeon. For example, Cartoon Network has Regular Show is surreal humor, while Clarence is slice-of-life. That being said, Nickelodeon can still be able improve, but not much has vastly changed for a while now. There's fortunate news of seeing more animated shows in the future, but that'll be long worth waiting.

Total Dramarama - From Badge to Worse
Spoilers, of course. Haven't written about an episode in a while, so I'll briefly talk about today's. "From Badge to Worse" involves Courtney needing a "Make A New Friend" badge, and it appears that she's friends with everyone in daycare, except for Gwen.
With All-Stars and their attempt at making Gwen and Courtney friends failed, this episode to me felt like the writer for this episode wanted to handle Gwen and Courtney's relationship better. That's not to say this episode will fix anything in the long run, but it was moreso a nice several minutes of these two characters interacting, and that's what I really wanted, anyway.
Some may be dis
Total Dramarama - Duck Duck Juice
Here's my thoughts on the second episode of "Total Dramarama". This will contain some spoilers, and for those who have seen the episode, I'm sure you'll know what I'll talk about.
This episode involves Jude and Izzy daring each other to drink Chef's "Rainbow Juice", and that leaves them super-hyper. I liked this episode more than "Venthalla". Part of that is due to seeing Courtney in charge and sticking to the rules, which fits her original character. Some scenes with her and Duncan were pretty cute too, showing that she still keep him in line. Also, you get some interesting references, such as a crayon-styled flashback that involves a toddl
Total Dramarama - Venthalla
The first episode of "Total Dramarama" released early. In short, it was decent. I didn't laugh a lot, and I'll still need to get used to the pitched-up/new voices for some of the cast, but at least the episode itself was amusing to watch. It's still funny that after 10 years of Total Drama, we get this kind of spinoff. I'll watch more of it.
In case you're curious which characters of the original cast are in this show, here's the list:
What we knew already: Duncan, Courtney, Beth, Izzy, Owen
What we know now: Leshawna, Harold, Gwen, Cody, Noah, Bridgette
Also, Creepy Child Gwen is adorable.
A Journal About DA
I noticed it's been over seven years since I've made an account. Things have definitely changed in what I create, and how I do it. It's at least interesting to see what a few years does to someone, I suppose. I enjoyed this site a lot back then, wanting to post something everyday, and even doing a lot of RPs.
For the past few months, though, I'm honestly feeling burnt out here. That's not to say that I dislike the site now. I would occasionally check messages to see new art arriving from people I follow, and it's nice to know that some people can still have fun posting a lot of content. I just personally haven't had the motivation to do the

Nickelodeon kinda going downhill to me, but it has some decent shows today like ninja turtles, korra, rabbids, icarly, big time rush, rocket monkeys. To be honest, they has some stupid decisions.
