Hehe, no. I'm only kidding around, but you do see some people who do this. On June 26th, I'll turn 19 years old. This is rather early for me to address this, but I felt like writing about this.
Remember, you don't have to give me something. While I understand that some can get tired of the generic "Happy Birthday" message, consider being thankful that someone in the world is aware that it's your day of birth.
And of course, who doesn't love gifts? Presents are a big reason why people love birthdays. On deviantART, it's great for an artist to draw something for you, whether you ask them to, or if it's by complete surprise with gratitude.
And it's okay to ask! I don't mind people generally asking a favorite artist or their watchers to make something for them. Heck, we tell our parents what we want on our birthdays, so this is normal.
However, when people beg constantly to the point of negatively forcing someone to give them something, then that is an issue to me. The same goes for requests and commissions on this certain site.
So overall, I've been wanting to write about this topic. I will respect anyone who either makes a gift, or even simply tell me "Happy Birthday" which takes seconds to write and say. The final thing I want to say is that I'll be out of town for a majority of this week, so again I'll be less active on deviantART. However, there is possibility for another batch coming up later in the month. That's all folks!
